Marie Van Brittan Brown: 1922-1999

    Marie was the first person to patent her closed- circuit television security system in 1966. She created the first home security system that allows you to access what goes on around your house through video. What her impact was on why she wanted to create this system to house holds around the world is her up bringing in the neighborhood which she grew up in. This shaped how we view home security systems today and opened opportunities for new systems to be used like the ring doorbell. This shows that no matter who you, her impact shaped the foundation on how we use security systems today.
